KOGAN MURPHY
Kogan Murphy began her dance training in Crystal Lake, IL, at Judith Svalander’s school of Ballet. After graduating high school, Kogan went on to train with the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago then moving on to Ballet Theatre of Indiana as a company member. Kogan is currently starting her tenth season with American Midwest Ballet. In addition to dancing, Kogan is also heavily involved with the Miss America Organization holding many local titles throughout the past few years. Miss Murphy has won Preliminary Talent awards as well as Overall Talent award using her original choreography. Kogan has been teaching and choreographing for the past 15 years and is thrilled to be a part of Nebraska City Dance studio!
MICHELLE OSTMANN
Michelle Ostmann is from a small town near Lincoln, NE where she began musical theater and dance at the age of 5. Her main styles of dance have always been in musical theater, hip hop, contemporary, and tap. She started assisting and doing dance choreography across the state at the age of 13. She has taken master classes several of which include choreographers from SYTYCD. After performing in multiple musical theater productions in California, she attended a top musical theater dance program (OCU), where her professional dance career was cut short from an injury. Most recently Michelle has been teaching adult hip hop classes, advancing her acro/stunt skills in Lincoln, NE and also teaching dance in Elkhorn, NE. Michelle is excited to be back in Nebraska to share her dance journey and passion at Nebraska City Dance Studio near where she lives now with her three kids and husband.
SARAH BOGLE
Sarah Bogle is from Nebraska City, NE and is a 2021 Graduate from Nebraska City High School. She is attending Nebraska Wesleyan University, majoring Business Administration and minoring in Accounting. Sarah is a member of the Willard Sorority and is the active President for the year of 2024. Sarah was a member of the Wesleyan Dance Team for one year before deciding to focus her love of dance with just teaching. Sarah began her dancing career at 7 years old under the direction of Donna Whitesel with Danceworks. Sarah has also received dance instruction from Motion 41 and Nebraska City Dance Studio. Her dance background includes a variety of dance forms, such as Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop. This is Sarah's 7th year instructing young dancers that are beginning their dance journey. Dance is a very important part of Sarah's life and she can't wait to share the joy of dance with her dancers.
Ashley Robertson
Ashley Robertson is from Grand Forks, ND where she began dance at the age of 3. Her main styles of dance are ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical and tap. She started assisting and doing dance choreography at the age of 11. She has taken master classes several of which include professional choreographers from all over the world. Ashley has also trained with Ronn Guidi from Oakland California. Performing the Nutracker with his company. Ashley is the head dance coach at Peru State College. She stays busy with her six children but is excited to join the team
Maddie Avery
Maddie Avery is from Utica, Nebraska and graduated from Centennial Public Schools. She is attending Nebraska Wesleyan University majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish. Maddie is a member of Willard Sorority and is the Philanthropy Chair for the 2024 year. Maddie was a member of Kirby's School of Dance from ages 4 to 18 and performed in competition team for 10 years. Her dance background includes tap, clogging, jazz, hip-hop and musical theater. Dance was a very large part of her life growing up and she is excited to be share her love of dance with others!
