BALLET/POINTE
Creative Movement:
Prerequisite: Ages 3-4 (potty trained)
Description: Early education into dance that blends movement, music and basic dance steps while providing a base for all future
dance classes. Creative movement helps with improving motor skills, self-expression, confidence, imagination, and social development.
Pre-Ballet:
Prerequisite: Ages 5 and up until placed in Ballet I by instructor
Ballet I, II, III:
Prerequisite: Placement by instructor only
Description: Ballet is the foundation for every other dance form. Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each
class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. It is the most beneficial form of dance to teach body placement, strength, flexibility, poise, and grace.

Pointe I:
Prerequisite: Instructor placement is required for this class.
Description: Pointe class is designed for students with previous ballet and pointe training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles. Dancer must also be enrolled in ballet III.
